If you like fishing, you could love this one! The tour will take you trolling to Raya Yai (Racha Yai) Island about 18 kilometers south of Phuket. The warm waters of the Andaman Sea are home to plentiful sailfish, black marlin, billfish and several varieties of tuna. And from late May to November during the Monsoon season your catch may also include wahoo, barracuda and a number of varieties of mackerel.

Round-trip hotel transfer paid in cash on tour
The tour combines two fishing techniques. Trolling: lures are dragged behind the moving boat across open Andaman Sea waters on the way to and from Raya Yai Island, targeting pelagic open-water species such as sailfish, black marlin, billfish and tuna. During the monsoon season (late May to November) wahoo, barracuda and mackerel are also common catches. Bottom fishing: on the return journey to Chalong Bay, the boat stops to fish the seabed, targeting species such as grouper and snapper.
Two rates are available: Fishing — ฿2,400 per person (for guests who want to actively fish). Non-Fishing — ฿2,000 per person (for guests joining the boat to enjoy the trip, lunch, swimming and relaxing at Raya Yai Island without fishing — suitable for partners, family members or anyone who prefers to come along without participating in the fishing). Both rates include all the same inclusions (lunch, transfers, life jacket, mask and snorkel, insurance, guide) except fishing equipment, which is only for Fishing guests.
Hotel pickup is between 07:00 and 08:00 depending on your location. The boat departs Chalong Pier at 08:30 and arrives back at 16:30 — a full day on the water of approximately 8 hours. Hotel drop-off is included for guests in the free transfer zone.
Included for all guests: hotel transfer round-trip from the free zone (Patong, Karon, Kata, Chalong, Nai Harn, Phuket Town, Rawai, Tri Trang), fishing boat with max capacity 15 people, mask, snorkel and life jacket, buffet lunch on board at Raya Yai Island, refreshments during the tour, injury insurance, and English-speaking guide. Fishing guests also receive all fishing equipment. Not included: hotel transfers from charged areas (see transfer fees); towel.

FREE (round-trip, included in price): Patong, Karon, Kata, Chalong, Nai Harn, Phuket Town, Rawai, Tri Trang. ฿250 PER PERSON (cash on tour day): Bang Tao, Boat Lagoon, Cape Panwa, Kamala, Koh Siray, Laguna, Laem Hin Pier, Royal Phuket Marina, Surin. ฿2,000 PRIVATE MAX 10 PAX (cash on tour day): Ao Po, Layan, Mai Khao, Nai Thon, Nai Yang. Note: this tour departs from Chalong Pier, so the free zone includes Chalong and the southern Phuket areas that are closer to the pier — which is broader than most adventure tours departing from the west coast.
No experience is necessary. All fishing equipment is provided and the English-speaking guide will assist you throughout the day. The tour is suitable for complete beginners as well as experienced anglers. If you are not interested in fishing, you can book at the Non-Fishing rate (฿2,000) and enjoy the boat trip, lunch, snorkeling and swimming.
The fishing boat has a maximum capacity of 15 people. This is a shared group charter — you will be on the boat with other guests. The relatively small group size means more space on deck and a more personalised experience compared to larger group tours.
The tour departs from Chalong Pier, located in Chalong Bay on the southern coast of Phuket. Hotel pickup from the free zone is included and timed to arrive at the pier before the 08:30 departure. Chalong is free to transfer from — unlike many Phuket adventure tours which charge for Chalong transfers.

You will not find cheaper tours in Phuket. Don’t waste your time hassling with leaflet merchants that you can easily knock down several hundred baht and still not be cheaper!
