Frequently Asked Questions

Which days does this tour operate?

This combo tour operates on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays only. It does not run on other days of the week due to the logistics of coordinating two separate regional itineraries (Phang Nga Bay in the morning and Phi Phi Islands in the afternoon) in a single day. When booking, please ensure your travel dates include a Monday, Wednesday or Saturday. If your stay does not include these days, consider booking the Phi Phi Islands tour and the James Bond Island tour separately on consecutive days.

Why combine Phi Phi Islands and James Bond Island in one day?

These are Phuket's two most iconic island destinations, normally requiring two separate full days and separate tour bookings. This combo saves one full vacation day and typically costs less than booking two separate tours. It is ideal for travellers with 3-5 days in Phuket who want to see both destinations without sacrificing a beach day or other activities. The 10-destination itinerary covers the highlights of both regions — Phang Nga Bay's limestone karsts, Hong Island canoeing, James Bond's needle rock, and floating village culture in the morning; followed by Phi Phi's turquoise lagoons, Monkey Beach, Viking Cave, Pileh Cove, and Maya Bay in the afternoon.

Is sea canoeing at Hong Island included?

Yes — sea canoeing through Hong Island's hidden lagoon is included in the tour price. Professional guides paddle the canoes, so no experience or skill is required — you simply sit and enjoy the stunning scenery as you glide through the narrow passages between towering limestone cliffs into the enclosed lagoon. This is one of the most memorable experiences in Phang Nga Bay and a highlight of the morning portion of the tour.

What is James Bond Island and why is it famous?

James Bond Island (officially Khao Phing Kan) is a limestone island in Phang Nga Bay, famous for its striking needle-shaped rock called Koh Tapu — the 'James Bond Island' — which featured prominently in the 1974 Bond film 'The Man with the Golden Gun'. It is one of Thailand's most photographed landmarks. You will visit the island at 10:00 for sightseeing and photos. The bay's dramatic karst scenery of hundreds of limestone pillars rising from green water is extraordinary even beyond the Bond connection.

Where is snorkeling done on this tour?

Snorkeling is done at one of the Phi Phi Islands locations visited in the afternoon — typically at Pileh Cove or near Phi Phi Don Island — depending on sea conditions and time on the day of the tour. The exact snorkeling spot is at the guide's discretion to ensure the best experience. All snorkeling equipment (mask, fins, snorkel) and life jackets are included. The Phang Nga Bay portion of the tour (morning) focuses on canoeing, sightseeing, and the floating village, rather than snorkeling.

What are the age and health restrictions?

Pregnant women, children under 1 year old, and guests over 70 years old are NOT permitted on this tour due to the operator's insurance policy and the physical demands of a full 10-hour day on open-sea speedboats across two regions. Children aged 4–11 are charged the child price of ฿3,950. Infants aged 1–3 years are free of charge. Additionally, a passport copy for every passenger must be provided by email at the latest the day before the tour — this is a strict insurance and marine park requirement for travel between Phuket, Phang Nga, and Krabi provincial waters.

What is included in the tour price?

The ฿4,750 per adult / ฿3,950 per child (4–11 years) / free for infants (1–3 years) price is fully all-inclusive: round-trip hotel transfers, speedboat tour (max 35 passengers), light breakfast at the pier, sea canoeing at Hong Island, lunch at Panyee Island's floating restaurant, soft drinks and fruits on board throughout the day, snorkeling mask, fins and snorkel, life jacket, all national park fees (Phi Phi and Phang Nga Bay), English-speaking guide, and injury insurance. Only a towel is not included. No extra cash payments required on the day.

Can we swim at Maya Bay on this tour?

Yes — Maya Bay is the final stop at 16:00 for beach relaxation and photos. Important: Maya Bay closes every year from 1 August to 30 September for environmental recovery. During this closure period, beach landing and swimming are not permitted and guests view from the boat only. The rest of the tour — both the full Phang Nga Bay morning and the Phi Phi afternoon — continues as normal on closure dates. The 16:00 arrival at Maya Bay on this tour means you experience it in the golden late-afternoon light, with fewer boats than the midday rush — a photographic advantage.

How long is the tour day?

This is a full and very full day: hotel pickup 06:00-07:00, depart pier 08:00, arrive back at pier 18:00, hotel drop-off approximately 18:30-19:00 depending on your hotel's distance from the pier. Total tour duration is approximately 12 hours. The itinerary visits 10 destinations across two different regions of southern Thailand — Phang Nga Bay in the morning and the Phi Phi archipelago in the afternoon. It is a long but exceptionally varied and well-paced day.
