Bamboo Island (Koh Mai Phai) is a small, completely uninhabited island located approximately 5 km north of Phi Phi Don in the Phi Phi National Park. It has no restaurants, shops, or facilities — just pristine powdery white sand beaches, crystal-clear shallow water, and vibrant fringing coral reefs teeming with parrotfish, angelfish, and other tropical marine life. Because it has no permanent visitors and fewer tour boats than Maya Bay, it offers a noticeably more peaceful and pristine experience. It is one of the best snorkeling spots in the Phi Phi archipelago.

The Phi Phi + Khai Island speedboat (฿1,500) visits Khai Island — known for shallow turquoise waters perfect for fish feeding and easy swimming — plus Phi Phi Islands including Maya Bay. The Phi Phi + Bamboo Island speedboat (฿1,800) visits Bamboo Island instead — more remote, uninhabited, and with superior coral reef snorkeling — and covers 7 destinations total including Pileh Cove, Loh Samah Bay, Viking Cave, Monkey Beach, Phi Phi Don, and Maya Bay. The Bamboo tour is better for serious snorkelers and nature lovers; the Khai tour is better for families with young children who prefer calmer, shallower water.
This tour departs from Royal Phuket Marina at 09:30. Hotel pickup is included free of charge from all areas of Phuket with collection between 07:00 and 08:30 depending on your hotel location. Royal Phuket Marina is located on the east coast of Phuket near Koh Siray, roughly 10-15 minutes from Phuket Town. The return is also to Royal Phuket Marina at approximately 17:30-18:00, with hotel drop-off included.
Yes — this speedboat tour is NOT suitable for: pregnant women, children under 1 year old, or guests over 70 years old. These restrictions are set by the tour operator due to the physical demands of open-sea speedboat travel. Infants aged 1–3 years are free of charge. Children aged 4–11 years are charged the same price as adults (฿1,800). If you are elderly, pregnant, or have young infants, consider the Phi Phi Islands Cruise Boat (฿1,250) as a more comfortable and accessible alternative.
No — the national park fee is NOT included in the ฿1,800 tour price and must be paid in cash on the day of the tour. The fee is ฿400 per adult and ฿200 per child (ages 4–11). Infants 1–3 years old are free. Please bring cash as card payment is not accepted at the national park checkpoint. This is a mandatory Thai government fee that applies to all visitors entering the Phi Phi Islands National Park.
Yes — Maya Bay is the final destination of the day and you will have time for swimming, snorkeling and photos at this iconic beach from the movie 'The Beach'. Important: Maya Bay closes every year from 1 August to 30 September for environmental recovery. During this period, the speedboat will view the bay from outside and beach landing and swimming are not permitted. The tour operates year-round, and on closure dates the itinerary continues with all other 6 stops as normal.

Bought two tours to the islands in September 2026. Both were very well organized and perfectly match description on the company website. Pickup and delivery back to the hotel were on time.
It is the cheapest travel agency which operates smoothly and at half price than others around Phuket. We went on 2 tours with them and there was no problem. They picked up us on time and the tours were absolutely fantastic.
You will not find cheaper tours in Phuket. Don’t waste your time hassling with leaflet merchants that you can easily knock down several hundred baht and still not be cheaper!
