Phi Phi Cruiser is the best ferry boat in Phuket that takes regular passengers from Phuket Town to Phi Phi Town. It takes about 400 passengers. You're offered seats in an indoor lounge or on the sun-deck. The boat will make a stop at the mouth of Maya Bay (made famous in the movie 'The Beach') for phototaking. It then continues at slow speed past Loh Samah Bay, Pileh Cove and Viking Cave before stopping at Phi Phi Don Island. The tour is offered with a VIP option which includes seating in the top-deck VIP lounge with air-condition and complimentary refreshments.

The cruise boat (Phi Phi Cruiser) offers a much calmer, more comfortable ride than speedboats thanks to its large 400-passenger size, air-conditioned indoor seating, sun-deck, and onboard restrooms. It is also lower priced (฿1,250 adult) compared to most speedboat tours (from ฿1,400). It is the recommended choice for families with young children, seniors, pregnant women, guests prone to seasickness, and anyone who prefers comfort over speed. The trade-off is a longer journey time — approximately 2 hours each way compared to 45 minutes by speedboat.
The cruise boat passes Maya Bay at slow speed and stops at the bay entrance for photos — you will have excellent views of the iconic limestone cliffs and the famous beach from 'The Beach' movie. This is a viewing and photography stop from the boat, not a swimming or beach landing stop. The snorkeling stop is at Coral Bay near Phi Phi Don Island, where you transfer to a smaller boat to snorkel over vibrant reefs.
Regular seating (฿1,250 adult) provides comfortable indoor lounge seating and access to the open sun-deck — perfectly comfortable for most guests. VIP seating (฿1,470 adult) upgrades you to the top-deck air-conditioned lounge with premium seating, panoramic views, priority boarding, and complimentary refreshments (coffee, tea and snacks) throughout the journey. The full itinerary and stops are identical for both options — the difference is purely comfort and service level.
You get approximately 90 minutes of free time at Phi Phi Don's Ton Sai Bay after lunch (from around 12:30 to 14:00). You can explore the island's shops and restaurants, relax on the nearby beaches, swim in the bay, take a short walk to a viewpoint, or simply enjoy a coffee at one of the beachfront cafés. Check-in for the return ferry is at 14:00 at Ton Sai pier.

The Phi Phi Islands National Park fee is a mandatory Thai government charge — ฿400 per adult and ฿200 per child (ages 4-12). Infants under 3 years old are free. This fee is not included in the tour price and must be paid in cash on the day of the tour. Please bring exact cash if possible. The fee goes directly to the national park authority for marine conservation and island maintenance.

Bought two tours to the islands in September 2026. Both were very well organized and perfectly match description on the company website. Pickup and delivery back to the hotel were on time.
